It's the most wonderful time of the year...

Ani took her annual photo with Santa... with the same results as last year... almost exactly.

We enjoyed the Christmas Eve service at Fourth Presbyterian followed by dinner at Pierrot Gourmet where Aunt Katie and I warmed up over mugs of mulled wine, Adom indulged in charcuterie and Ani entertained all with her biggest blowout in months. Tipsy walk home, full belly and sans tights. It was a good night.

Aunt Katie, Ani and I snuck away to Ohio for a few days which happened to be Adom's "best Christmas present ever" or so he joked... I think. A snow storm hastened our travel plans and we made it to Ohio ahead of the snow where we indulged in more wine, presents and the shenanigans that ensue when you are surrounded by your siblings and parents.

 

Presents, family, candlelights, Chicago, Ohio, screaming toddler on Santa's lap... it's the most wonderful time of the year... it is... it really is.
